Poland complains over German invasion spoof

The Polish embassy in London has complained to the BBC over a Top Gear episode, starring Jeremy Clarkson, which featured a spoof German invasion of Poland.
Reacting to the show, in which Jeremy Clarkson presented a mock advertisement for the VW Scirocco that could get from "Berlin to Warsaw in one tank", the Polish embassy wrote in an official letter of complaint that the German invasion of Poland was an inappropriate subject for humour.
"We understand that Mr Clarkson often jokes about various European nations, about Germans or the French. But we believe that a joke about the Nazi German invasion of Poland is not a proper way to make people laugh," the letter said.
The letter follows seething indignation in the Polish media over the mock advertisement, especially as it showed Poles panicking and fleeing, and no sign of the army.

it's by mentioning the war ant its atrocities and vainity, that people realize that wars should end.
unlike lebanon! no one knew how or why it started in 1975, or why and how it ended in 1990 with so many questions not answered nor goals achieved! with 150.000 deads, millions of immigrants, destroyed coutry, a soaring 19% maniaco-depressed lebanese.
and it's taboo to talk about it! so now, all the young generation in lebanon r fully turned against one another, and a new civil war just needs a signal by who or why, no one knows either!
polish have a bone with germany about the nazi occupation!
when germany invaded poland during the WWII, millions of polish were killed in action or later, in concentration camps. as much as 20-25% of the polish population was decimed.
when joining the european union, the 40 million poland wanted the representative weight of germany's 65 millions on the allegation that if germany didn't kill as much polish, they would have been 65 millions now.
exagerationg? living in the past? catholic v/s protestants? whatever the underlying cause, polish-german relations are not of a kindly one.
and the invasion spoof just uncovered the shit!

But the Polish should not take it too serious.
After all, it is a Car Show...
