...Husband on trial for forcing wife to abort
Dubai: A young man is on trial for forcing his wife to abort their unborn baby after threatening to kill both his spouse and the foetus.
The Dubai Court of first instance is looking into the case of S.A., a 21-year-old Emirati charged with forcing his wife, F.K.H., 24, to terminate her pregnancy.
The suspect had been married to his wife for about a year and a half. He is also being charged with threatening to kill her.
S.A. allegedly forced F.K.H. to take pills that would induce an abortion as he did not want to have a child with her.
"When I told him that I was pregnant he immediately told me that he [wanted] me to have an abortion. I refused but he insisted and he even asked his brother to convince me to abort the foetus," said F.K.H., according to Public Prosecution records.
S.A. invited his wife to his family's farm in Hatta, where he allegedly planned to force her to terminate the pregnancy. When she arrived, he told her to take the abortion-inducing pills but F.K.H. refused.
"If you do not take the pills I will kill you and kill the foetus," he reportedly said, according to court records.
"I took his threats seriously as he sometimes used to beat me, and I tried to run away from the place but at the end I just decided to follow his orders," said F.K.H.
After a few hours F.KH reportedly started bleeding and she lost the foetus.
The following day, F.K.H., accompanied by her sister, reported the matter to the police. The case was adjourned to August 27 after the suspect failed to appear in court.

can a woman abort if her husband wants to keep the baby?
can a husband be exempted of child custoddy if he wanted his woman to abort and she insisted on keeping her baby?
in the story above, the man must not have threatened and forced the abortion. now according to abortionless countries, he'll be double charged as murder, and life threatening (threatening to kill the woman, and endangering her life by medically non-assisted abortion).
Oh, people can come up with statistics to prove anything, Kent. 14% of people know that.

Since abortion is a crime, I wonder what sort of sentence he may face ?
