I see people interested in Sharia.

here's an article i just read that attempts to give a high level understanding of the word

http://www.dawn.com/wps/wcm/connect/dawn-content-library/dawn/the-newspaper/editorial/understanding-what-is-sharia-489

[I just read it and am not qualified enough to vouch that everything stated is correct]

Anyways, i think most (not referring to anyone here) of our country men and women just toe the mullah line or some other line, and are not doing some research to form their own opinion.

FYKI, Pakistan was achieved only on the basis of RELIGION so it is out of question that we should separate our country from SHARIA BASED LAWS. The problem is that the way it is being implemented is sometimes becomes controversial.

Also, who says that PAKISTANI GOVT or PPL are in favour of violence. Just like any other country We are also fighting against crimes, terrorism related activities in our country for the last many decades. Criminals are always born because of injustice of law and society. Nobody is born as a CRIMINAL but it is the poverty, illiteracy, cruel society and weak JUSTICE system who makes them criminals.

As far WOMEN'S seat is concerned then you might know that how the whole SOUTHEAST ASIAN countries treat their woman. Nothing is hidden

Dear Navid,

I love my country alot but fact is fact which is:

1. Whenever there is downfall or disaster we never recovered from it example GREAT EARTHQUAKE IN 2005. Still nothing happened there. No news coverage and no govt help at all. Everything is just for the time being to have vast media & world attention to grasp FOREIGN AID. So I don't think no better future for swat valley or at least it will take 1or2 decades for swat valley to become a TOURIST SPOT as it was before.

2. As poverty and continuous neglection faced by our NWFP ppl and BALUCHISTAN from previous all govts of Pakistan, there is possibility that our own few Pakistanis are helping in some way these insurgents for their criminal and inhuman activities in PAKISTAN.

3. please, Refer to my point 1 as when nothing is being done for earthquake survivors then how can our govt will be helping to build SWAT valley. For tourism purpose they might help a bit but not 100% help as you know MONEY IS REQUIRED to build such disastrous area and our govt has no balls to spend money. Only the ppl of swat will going to make it beautiful with HELP URSELF rule

i think the following steps will save SWAT and even good for pakistan.

1) seperate religion and state, bring a sigle law of land for all pakistan

2)Invest hevily on infrastructure , roads, schools, health care

3)Take strong action aganist the so called miltants weathe they are from inside or out side

4) ISI nned to be under the control of civilian government not under miltry

5)As a general policy stop supporting any form of violence or violent groups weather they are harmful to the country or not

6) Give 30% seats to the women in all administrative forms in the government
