Servicing for my Prado in Toyoto Company or outside like Tayseer, etc
QL users....Please give your opinion.
I moved from UAE to Doha in April'09. I brought my car Prado VX along too. Got it registered here. Approached TOYOTA for normal servicing as I maintained company srvice history all along.
As they did not sell this car to me in Qatar they are demanding QR 5000 just for entering the car details in their database. This is purely the local dealer fee and has nothing to do with TOYOTA as such. I yelled murder as the fee is too high and unfair. They say it is binding on them and must if they have to accept my car for servicing with them. In other words, I must pay 5000 if I have to remain with TOYOTA services. They refuse to touch the car without it.
Do you guys think is it worth the money to have it serviced by them or should I opt for other service centres which I have seen are equally equipped like Tayseer? Do others provide equally good service and use genuine TOYOTA parts?
Please give your valuable comments. Seeking your guidance from your experience if any.

If Tayseer is good only for oil change etc, then which other service center is good for major servicing.
Any information is most appreciated.
If your car is new and under warranty, I suggest you stick to Toyota. Otherwise, look for other service centres. Teyseer is good for oil and filter change only. I am not sure how good they are with periodic maintenance and check up of Toyota cars.

Toyota dealer has a "sore eye" reputation among the local market they do not know what "customer care" really means. They are very happy when you buy their vehicles just like pancakes but after that when you need servicing your nigtmare begins truly ironic. I highly suggest Teyseer those people know what they are talking about and it would not empty to pocket with an over-size funnel.

if ur going to do major service toyota is good, just oil& filter changing try teyseer.....
There is lot of workshop better then toyota ...
Most bad service if you r going to Toyota
Do it on other place.
Warranty for what nothing everything to purchase .When fault is discovered they will say not manufacturing fault it is due to your reckless driving.
