i renewed my comprehensive car insurance in last month for the period of 1 year.Due to some reasons i want to sell my car the buyer dont prefer full insurance. Is it possible to downgrade the car insurance from full to thirdparty. Can i get the moneyback which i paid for full insurance.
ask the buyer to pay u the money less what the Insurance Company is going to deduct for the refund thus the car will remain insured, full insurance for the year, I doubt u will get any money back from the Insurance Company more than half the amount u have already paid
Yes, you can down grade to third party insurance, however you will not get a full refund of what you paid for it, they'll charge the months & days your car got insured in comprehensive, balance will be use for converting it to third party, your lucky if ever they return 50% of what you paid for in the beginning.

If I'm the buyer, I rather use the full insurance since it was already paid. I'll just change it to third party on its renewal.
