If you compare with Jeddah or Dahran Doha is a PARADISE.

It is not a boring place if you have good company and if you like swimm and shopping.

Ciao

Will gladly respond.

My full quote acutally including 'bashing each others religions' which is an integral part of your misquoting me because people get adrenaline rushes on here by baiting each others religions and putting down the opnions of others, while in the next breath being bored by Doha.

I comment on here every few days, maybe I have 100-odd posts, which some people rack up in a single day.

If you consider the content of what they write, the majority is useless waste, and so to seek opinions on boredom from people who serially post 'i am bored', and whose true highlight of the day is to say 'God; does not exist' is total hypocrisy.

This community is akin to centuries ago, with the masses proclaiming the world IS flat, and then one person coming along knowing it is spherical and being mocked into oblivion.

Qhris "Don't take advice on 'thrilling things in Doha' from a bunch of people who sit online all day"

So you're online because.................????

Just assuming you have other exhillerating things to do, please share :D

exiledsaint .... Give me a pragmatic response, not a fantasy 'what if'

But what would you prefer doing in your spare time, what is it you feel you are missing had you been in another country of choice?

Just curious

My opinion is very simple. Here like anywhere: there aren't boring places, just some personalities. It could be really boring, but it's up to you. No one is going to make you fun during stay. Therefore all are in yours hands. You will find what are you looking for defenitely, just be positive. And let me say that Jeddah - it isn't Dubai. You don't miss a lot if you will move to Doha. Make some friends, socialize here and hopefully everything will be all right for you.

Take care!

You know the movie the Hangover? Well me and my friends laugh at that. That is an average night out in Doha, well except during ramdan then we go really mental....

There is a quote that says 'show me someone who is bored and I will show you a person who is boring'.

Use your imagination.

Don't take advice on 'thrilling things in Doha' from a bunch of people who sit online all day bashing each others religions, they probably aren't the best group to trust.

If all you do is chat on facebook and the highlight of your week is a trip to Family Food Centre, you're clearly going to be unexhilerated by life.

I think it depends all on you , what do you find entertaining or not .

I don't find it that boring. But I'm satisfied with less.

You can to a lot of things here. You can do almost every kind of sports here, if you a sports guy.

You can have a boat trip , fishing, diving , you can go to the beach go swimming, jet skiing.

Camel riding, horse back riding , tons of cats here if you like animals !

You can book a safari, go see the sand dunes, drive around.

You can go ice skating, shopping till you drop . You can get a all types of food here, you can meet all types of people here.

you can go to bars, events now and then, go watch movies. If you look around you will find something to do here.

We got kids so we do a lot with the kids, tons of fun here for kids:)

I don't know , about jeddah, but Doha isn't all that bad!

have been here since a kid,,, any place would definitely be boring if you dont socialise unless if you like to be alone.

qatar provides you with all kinds of socialising avenues where you get to meet nationalities and like minded people depending on what you like. if its partying , religion, or anything,, you have a place for it here.

Mate, Doha is a great place. I have visited Doha heaps of times and its a great place to be and live. You cant compare Doha to Dubai, as Dubai is like New York. Doha is more quite and developing. If I was given two choices Dubai or Doha, I would have gone for Doha still.

Hope this helps.
