I need something called animal milk my kitty is not eating and on the internet its suggested to feed it animal milk anyone know where to find? I have tried all the kitten foods wet and hard and it has no interest. Wish I could return to mother but its in another country.

My kitten is still barely alive, the Vet was surprised when I went today to get more recovery food and a syringe, maybe I am interferring with God but I can't just let the poor tike die. The Vet is outstanding I can't say enough how caring they are at the Vet Surgery off Rayyan Rd. All the staff are so helpful.

It seems my kitten may be anorexic so I am force feeding it recovery food hoping to make its brain health enough to want to eat. Or it could be fatty liver disease I researched on the Internet. The Vet said she can't do anymore for it, its too dangerous to keep there due to the fact its not vaccinated. So every few hours I feed it recovery food mixed with cat milk you can get at the Mega Mart at the Center. It takes tons of dedication but the results will be great if it can recover poor tike. Its very weird as its not vomitting and no diarhhea. I am even reaching out to Vets in America to see if they have any additional advice. If love worked he would be healthy.

Thanks again for all your help, I did find a Vet open today thank goodness and the kitten has no health problems she said sometimes they get anorexic and you have to force the food, so I got a recovery food from her she thinks its over 6 weeks old. So I will force food and she dewormed and gave it an injection to get the appetite better. Just like I found on the Internet a kitten can die quickly without food. Its not dehydrated either. I didn't want to ship a cat from the States I think its cruel as we have animals here and so I have to deal with a kitten that is less than healthy. I guess it teaches us patience and animal care. I will feed it every few hours. Thank god I took the kitty it would of died otherwise. We have saved many wild kittys over the years but all of them loved food in any form! Thanks again for all the information I am saving it.

This is a receipe that is (prescribed) from my vet when we are unable to get milk for kittens right away - this is from my Canadian vet, but I assure you it's a good recipe to revive kitties who are losing strength and it is as close to mama milk as possible (besides the kind from the vet!):

Here is the formula for kittens:

3 ounces of Evaporated milk

3 ounces of boiled water

4 ounces of plain yogurt

3 large egg yolks or 4 small ones

Mix it together and strain it - store it in the fridge and heat it to body temperature when about to feed her

we use to put cod liver oil in our kittens milk as some times they couldnt smell what they were eating and therefore wouldnt eat. It also helps with fur balls and gives them nice coat. But I like the vet idea.

Sorry to say it but there's the problem - you bought it!

Kittens can be dewormed from 6 weeks old and the vets should still be open tomorrow. If the kitten is refusing to eat anything then it will probably need to be kept at the vets for fluids as it might have health issues. A healthy kitten that is old enough to be sold should be eating solid food ok. Try mixing the kitten wet food with lots of water and syringing a little bit into it's mouth.

Thanks guys for all the suggestions. I am hoping a Vet is open tomorrow but could be closed as Sunday is Eid, so I am preparing for the worst in case. Most companies even gave last Thursday off. I tried 2 soft foods and one hard and nothing interests the kitten. I bought the kitten and they said they are from Egypt but that is no guarantee. I bought soy formula baby milk tonight and still can't get it down its throat. Never saw a kitten not eat at all. We saved a street kitten once and the vet said they can't be dewormed so young! Thanks for all the advice,

Sorry... How is the mother in another country? If it was seperated from it's mother so that she (the mum cat) could be relocated to another country then it must be at least 8 weeks old in which case it doesn't need kitten milk and watered down kitten meat is fine. And if the kitten was bought from another country then it must be at least 16 weeks old (as per Qatar law) so it definitely doesn't need kitten milk. Take it to the vets and they will probably give the kitten fluids, a vitamin B shot and a dewormer to get it's appetite back and check it to see if it is healthy or not.

go to the vets they sell the milk you need, its similar to baby milk it comes in powder you follow the instructions mix it with water, it should also have a small baby type bottle if the kitten is that young. I hand reared 3 kittens that were left out to die, this milk did the trick they were only 4 weeks ish when i took them in.

There is a big secret place that nobody knows about. Its called a vet clinic. It has a secret person called a vet who is the only person qualified to tell you what is wrong with the kitten. It also has lots of secret equipment and a cupboard full of secret medicines to make the cat better.

try slightly warmed goat milk. you can buy it from Lulu. Also your kitten might not know how to lap. Put some milk on a saucer and dab some milk on its chin. Keep doing it over several days and it will get the picture.
