I am trying to call someone outside
Qatar, but it is very hard to contact it because the line is always busy.. There service doesn't satisfy the costumers..
Hi PWA-Qatar, which call language are you trying to talk in? We have available operators 24hrs a day in our call centres. If you are having issues please let me know so I can have it resolved.
Best option is to stick on with Qtel till vodafone gets on its foot n get walking... the irony is not the vodafone itself but its employees... and this is something vodafone need to finetune on priority.
Give it a chance.Vodafone didnt keep a gun on everyones head and told them to buy the sim cards. They are still in the process of expanding. Give them some more time, if the service is STILL bad, then just torch all their offices down :)
I totally agree with you but as i said that VODAFONE is a new TELECOM company and that was their first eid in Qatar. Now as they have got experienced this incident on EID so they would act accordingly.
.
So whenever they will experience such incidents, they will make sure not to repeat it again
.
But on the whole, I'm still a happy customer of VODAFONE!!!
whats the use of extending the promotion when the network failed to deliver service when most required...vodafone is untrustful, all are forced to stick to qtel which atleast provides service when required even though they charge exorbitantly...
VODAFONE QATAR EXPERIENCES INTERNATIONAL CALLING ISSUES
-International calling promotion extended for 2 weeks to compensate customers
21 September 09: Vodafone Qatar explained today that some customers are experiencing issues when making international calls.
Vodafone Qatar customers are making international calls averaging 1 million minutes a day as part of their extremely successful international calling promotion available to all Vodafone customers on Freedom and Red.
The promotion is so successful, that at times all of the Vodafone international calling lines are fully utilized. Vodafone is in the process of addressing these issues by working very closely with ICT Qatar and other partners on increasing the amount of capacity as quickly as possible to continue to provide a great experience to customers.
This may take up to 2 weeks to remedy, and so to compensate their customers, Vodafone is extending their international calling promotion for 2 weeks until the 14th of November.
Vodafone is excited about having introduced promotions into the market which are making a world of difference for all of the people in Qatar.
@atif: did u try to use qtel, it goes through in first attempt even on Eid day, its a simple fact that vodafone is just selling selling without taking care of network issues, if regulatory authority ICT really means to regulate they should step in and warn vodafone to stop selling more connections before fixing their network capacity.
Guys nothing to worry about it. Lines always get ver busy on EID holidays as thousands of Asians & Arabs try to call their loved ones at the same time.
.
Vodafone or either Qtel has nothing to do with it. They just get jammed due to sudden hike in connectivity at the same time. Also we shouldn't forget that Qatar's population is near to 2.0 Million
.
So just keep on trying !!!!!!
.
Try to chat on messengers, Skype,Nimbuzz as SMS is working very fine
themans, Vodafone was supposed to share towers with qtel but they dint and are now using their own infrastructure/towers.
its entirely vodafone fault to bring such pathetic network/service to qatar. when one can get through qtel on eid then it is a stupid thought of saying call volume is high. qtel has larger number of subscribers still call goes through in 1st attempt but vodafone is sick, ict should warn vodafone to improve service or fine them.
since vodafone is using qtels reception towers and they had an unexpected huge sales of their sim cards .they are facing problem in their service .this should be the reason they are facing a network problem.hope these problems will be solved after EID temporarly and permemnantly after 2-3months ,once they have there own reception towers .

You will be lucky if you get through the call centre.
Since vodaofone is new on qatar's telco markek it doesen't got yet as many international lines open as it's competitor.
Now vodafone Qatar managed to double their international calling capacity.
