Some non- quad band phones will not operate on the right frequency. Check the model specs to see if you have a quad band GSM phone before you pay to have it unlocked.

if it is a GSM phone using the frequencies we use here and is unlocked yes then it will work. CDMA phones and 1900 Mhz GSM phones do not work here.
should be if you can insert sim in it and is not locked by previous operator.
even if its locked you can go to Alsadd or Souq Najda to get it unlocked.
