"GoodWill Cargo" - No longer has my Goodwill

I would like to bring to the notice of all the QL members about the deception and swindling being done by "Goodwill Cargo company".

I booked my cargo on 30/07/09 from Wakra to Pune, India on door to door basis.

The company representative confirmed the televisions(2 Nos) would be put in a wooden crate and sent to ensure no damage. Accordingly the cost of the wooden crate and the additional weight was charged. The assurance given was delivery within 45 days.

Only after repeated and expensive ISD calls did the company representative Rashid confirmed delivery would be done by 15th October - one full month after the scheduled date.

Yesterday a local cargo company - Gati Cargo called to inform about the arrival of goods in damaged condition. On inspection of the goods at their warehouse, to our dismay we find the televisions and along with other goods in damaged condition and without wooden crating.

To add insult to injury, I am no required to pay "octroi'- (a local entry tax)for the broken TV and LCD!

Please make aware as many as possible the false assurances and deception by this company to prevent other gullible people from falling prey to such swindlers.
