The side of green tea they dont harp on about

I'm all for taking care of your mind, body and for those of you with, soul (hehe) but every time I drink green tea I feel ill. Does anyone else feel like that? I already gave up my five cups of coffee a day habit, replacing it with water and two cups of green tea but Im beginning to think maybe green tea isn't for everyone.

I found this link http://cancer.emedtv.com/green-tea/green-tea-side-effects.html None of the symptoms covers what Im feeling, but I'll tell you what does...the word "shite". Guiness please? :P

never liked tea...black, green.

Nothing like a cup of hot, steaming coffee to kick start the day.

I hate green tea...

jervis - light bulb moment, been having headaches since I started drinking green tea. Never knew it was potent. All you ever hear about is how great it is for you! Plus, I only drink decaf coffee hence my tolerance for the 5 odd cuppas a day. Again, thanks!! Not taking another sip of that stuff again.

mjamille, hehe so am I. But was overdoing it, and decided to switch to a healthier option (look where that got me!).

thanks for that. I dont have insomnia, the frequent visits to the little girls is expected hehe but it must be too potent for my system as you say. I think I will just switch to black tea, I'd rather just keep it simple. As Bunga recommended Iv just read up on Rooibos tea and apparently it doesnt have caffeine, so might give that a go.

i drink 2-3 mugs (not just cup) of green tea daily but never experience any side effects... but i do believe, anything taken in excess is hazardous to health

Wow, to be honest, Ive never really thought about green tea in a negative light.

Another alternative I recommend is Rooibos tea, I take Dr Nortier rooibos tea occasionally. It is also good when mix with milk.

Green tea tastes like warm dishwater. It's the greatest money making invention since Chicken Chow Mein.

Ooops didnt mean to alarm anyone...just that a colleague and I were comparing notes and realised that every time we drink the stuff we feel off. Perhaps its because it literally flushes out the system...
