sorry for my lack of detail... team is just 4 men. we are accustomed to private rooms. Best convenience would be a villa type with adjoining resturant. We work long hours with only a sunday off on occasion. Full services would be appreciated, ei; laundry, maid, etc.
Driving... hmm. To be honest, on previous jobs ( Kuwait, Lebanon, Amsterdam ) Leased cars were delivered to us, and we just drove at will, liscenses or not, LOL. Yeah, I know... not the best practice. We can hire a driver until 2 get liscensed, if we MUST....
now we have just bill not a dollar bill :D
welcome.
Welcome justbill :-)
What kind of accomodations are you looking for? Is it for single people, family's, etc? I would suggest approx. 10000 Riyal per month allotted for housing. This will keep you in the style that you are most likely accustomed to. Of course this may differ if this is for family's as I understand villa's are much pricier than apartments.
Also, if the team is comprised of Americans be aware that as an American you have to take a driving test to get a license. The test isn't too difficult but scheduling it may be a problem as the system here isn't too efficient and you may have to wait weeks for your test. See if they will get you a driver in the mean time until you sort out your license.
thanx for the tips and wishes. Only thing to bridge now is lodging. Team flies to LA on wednesday to nail down contracts and details. I will share here their lodging offers when I have them. All expenses will be covered by parent company, including 3 leased cars and meals. Work will be at Mesaieed port. Suggestions on lodging, I might take to meetings ?
have a safe trip. Im sure you will like qatar

Thank you very much... I have worked in many places. I guess the closest to Qatar would have to be Kuwait ( i was there in 05 ) Would you suggest any similarities ?
Welcome William. Wish you have a great time here.
