Best small car

Which small cars (the like of Toyota Yaris, Nissan Tiida, Mitsubishi Swift etc) would you recommend to buy in term of the reliability, safety (anything with more than 2 airbags?), resale value ?
I have a small family and can not morally justify buying a big SUV.

Go for Nissan Tiida. It will cover all your requirements.
Go in for a Nissan Tiida. It has the best bang for your money. The 1.6 liter is good enough although if you like power you can go in for a 1.8.
Do not think about the Yaris. Overpriced and underpowered besides when it comes to service Toyota is a nightmare.
Swift is decent but over the Tiida, the Tiida wins.
Toyata is best car here........... FOR YOU & FAMILY!
go and ask for a test drive among the cars mentioned; if you are a robust person, if you ask me, I would choose a Nissan Tiida: has enough room inside (like a WW Passat), is feasible and easy maintenance. If no many luggage to carry, the hatchback is better due to easy parking and easy in the city traffic, the back seats can be translated circa 20 cm for better comfort for your family and is back folding for big commodities transport, giving better room than other big cars.
