Hi Mommies,
My 4 months old is due for vaccination, where do you take your kids for vaccines and regular check-ups?
Do you recommend any hospital or clinic?
Any pediatricians you recommend?
Thanks.
Taking vaccination in Private hospitals is very expernsive and they may charge up to 1000 Riyals, (I checked this issue for my baby) at the same time you will get 100% free of cost in all health centers, only you may have problem with language and communication with reception ladies, if you say I WANT TO TAKE VACCINATION FOR MY BABY, she will ask SHUNU??? they will not understand anything, there is specific dates (two days a week only, I think Monday and Tuesday only.
I take my daughter to the Health Center in our area.It is free and doesn't take much time to wait there.
I used to take her to private hospital but it turned out my insurance doesn't cover vaccinations thus paying 1000 riyals would not be smart if I can get the same from local Health Center.
Primary Health Centre (HMC) is the best. But you need vaccination card for the child. If the child is born in Hamad, you will get vaccination card during child birth. If the child is born in any other hospital other than Hamad (Including outside Qatar), you need to get vaccination card from NHA (where birth certificate is issued). For more details regarding vaccination time (I think it is normally on Wednesday and Thursday) and other requirements (Mother of the child may require HMC health card), please check with your nearest PHC. The vaccination is very expensive in Private hospitals and clinics.
I take both of my kids to Al Ahli hospital and they are very good at what they're doing. If you want your baby to be seen by a doctor as well, I would recommend Dr. Atya, she's a nice Dr.

Hamad is enough. They do it at free rate. Others do the same thing, but charge a lot of money.
You can take them to your Health Center in the morning time. But visit the center alone first & ask which specific day they do it :) Good luck

Any Hamad's Pediatric Clinic is the best... I would recommend Al Rayyan Pediatric Clinic, opposite to Equestrian Club....
