Sherborne carpool from Doha Zoo area?

My husband and I need help with transportation for my son to Sherborne. No buses come here, the other families in our area that go to Sherborne are unable to take another child and my husband leaves for work too early. We had no idea it would be so hard to arrange transportation. Live and learn. He CAN however, pick up in the afternoon. He is a good driver in Doha traffic. Our son stays after most days, but we are willing to cut back on that if necessary.

We would like to carpool, your family driving in the morning, my husband driving in the afternoon. We are in the Alfardan Gardens 5 compound. I am anxious about private drivers so please, don't any contact me.

If you go to another school nearby, that would work also. We hope to figure this out soon. Please contact me through QL here on my mailbox. Thanks

Shellyjean,

We may move there in August, we are also looking at Sherborne for our two sons 6 and 3.5. How are you finding the school so far?

Cheers

ShellyJean,

I cant help unfortunately, as I am only moving to Doha this coming Jan... But, can I ask how you are finding Sherbourne? We are currently in the application process and would really appreciate some knowledge from parents who have kids there - its so new its hard to find much impartial information...

How is the teaching and extra-curricular activities and facilities?

Thanks!

Hello,

A private driver and car is not that bad an option as you fear it is...A good plan of action is let us husband ask a driver in his company, and most probably that guy will also have a brother or cousin who is a driver and has a car...that way you will have a reference too..

There are a lot of guys here who have their own car and make a living out of transporting people who dont have their own transportation...
