I resigned from my company this year and went back to Philippines last September. My visa was cancelled. I used my husband's family name in my documents...

Our house was destroyed due to typhoon Ondoy and I want to go back in Qatar to work because its so hard to find a job here.

My questions are....is it okay if i get a new passport using my maiden surname (means i will apply as single) and apply for a visit visa?

What are the possible problems that i may encounter?

Thanks in advance for all your answers and advice.

Possible problem is to go behind the bars and a ban from re-entry. If banned you will not be able to go to any other GCC countries.

i knew someone who changed her name, got a new passport and came back to Qatar after a few months. She was caught after she did her fingerprint (twice). She went to court, was put in prison for 3 weeks and was deported.

if you wanna landup in prison, for sure you can issue another passport & come.

Please note that fingerprints are matched for any previous records. Beaware!

definitely, its a fact. you cannot fool them with those old school strategy. you can only comeback with a husband sponsorship. otherwise you have to wait 2 years. goodluck!! sorry for what happened.
