gosh, i got an offer also which is just the same with you according to the employer who went here.. i'm just not sure for the final price. the company is a well-known fast food chain.. so it's small huh.. even if you have free house, transpo, food allowance? hhmm..

the market is vary bad. ( I would of used a different word). the market is flooded with people that take jobs and any job just to get a salary, they have fooded the marked with cheap labour, why would an employer offer more $$$ when he can get cheaper. they have you over a ballle and sticking it in behind you. Supply and demand..

There are lots more unfortunate people working as construction worker here earning less than that. Really if you know how to manage that merge amount than you will survive compare to what you earn now in phil

Guys, did you consider his position? he did not mentioned his qualification and the position he apply for? Of course QR11000 basic is not enough for engineers.

By header• 21 Dec 2009 13:29

what is your profession?

The question must be " Is the offer pair enough?

QR2000 as a basic, say QR1700 or say QR1500 a month as a net income, its not bad compare to those who have nothing at all.You can send money monthly of about QR1500, I think it is enough for you to feed your family plus little amount od saving, of course depending on the way your family will handle all those money.

In Ras Laffan only, ordinary skilled workers are just getting QR1300 or less but still they survive, monthly they are sending money to Phils.

Dont go for it. It will ruin your life for 2 years if you signed the contract. Look for a better job bro. Dont take anything below 8000Qrs.

2K is relatively small for him. He forwarded his CV to me and I forward it to someone who would need his particular skills.

I think being an Instrument technician you can still negotiate better is my suggestion or you can fine tune with your qualification with other demanded requirements like calibration and prone your skill and try again would be my view point.

I believe it is quiet low if you are an experienced tech. Salary is based on your experience and basic qualification. I came to know the company like Qatar KENTZ is paying 2.7K QR/PM for Techs. Are you going to work for project or maintenance? Is there any opportunity to work extra hours (Over time) and week end days?

Personally, I would say it is very low salary here in Qatar, and I won’t see it’s a professional company since they are not providing the food or food allowance. Most probably it is a MAN POWER SUPPLIER. Don’t take chance with this my brother. Stay with your current employer and family until you get a good opening for abroad.

What sort of skills do you have? Can you do calibration? cable termination? PLC programming? if its technician or cable terminator work, I can refer you to my former boss. Salary is on a per hour basis and the working hours are longer. If its calibration, the salary would be relatively higher. please send me your CV at [email protected].

bartyboy to tell you the truth... Qr.2000 is not enough. Do you think you can find another job offering a higher salary? It's just pain when you/we don't have any choice and we will grab that offer to feed your/our family.

I suggest to find another offer if you have experience and you think you can still find a bette company.

Good luck bro.

9 years ago when i came here in Qatar, i got the same offer and i took it just for experience (still single that time and still now) but i don't think that is enough if you have a family. If you don't mind what is your job?

maybe you can try and search for other jobs that has better to offer.. considering you're a family man, i don't think 2000 QR is enough to send money to your family, save for the future and cover all your expenses at the same time..

If your employer is giving you free housing, transportation and food then you can save around USD400 per month.

PM me the name of your employer and i will tell you if it is a good company.

By deedee• 15 Dec 2009 05:39

this is a very low offer. You need 7000 to sponsor your family. 1500 is what a maid makes so you are only just above that.
