I didnt give a damn abou this last night when i receieved it but this morning, i learned that one of my co-workers also got the same message. is this a scam of some sort, a practical joke or what?
by the way, we both have ericsson mobiles. (hehe)
@ galloper48 exactly they will impersonate those people who will reply to them.
And, more importantly, u should know that u will not win if u did not join any raffle.
i received an advisory from Qtel about this and they are claiming that this is not from them. they are advising everyone to ignore such kind of messages.
Well, its not that I was going to give all my info; but in a post 9/11 world, we ought to be more careful that ever.
Thanks for the heads-up.
It is a lie..be careful, those are professional hackers who will soak as much money as possible and charge you somehow.
bawarqa...what will happen next??? now they have all your info and will push you to get some money from you in order to be able to send you the "Big Prize"
A scanned copy of passport or IDL (WTF); that way they have your details, and signature. They will impersonate you commit fraud/scam somewhere in the world and then you will be blamed for that.
Get it??...still interested in sending the info??
pranzer, in case one sends all required information..., what will happen next ?
that is a standard reply that almost all scammers send to curious recipients... everyday in our office e-mail i get like hundreds of those e-mails...
hundreds of fraud sms and emails are sent everyday mostly from Africa and eastern europe to all over the world (mostly arab world). just forget it. they need some info to get access to your bank account, or they will simply ask you to pay 25$ or less as transfer fees before the transfer takes place.
JUST IGNORE ALL THESE MESSAGES.
Yalla!
