Arabian music?

I really like the arabian instrumental music, not the ones with words (because I don't know a word of arabic) but the type that is played in documentaries/tourism videos when showing Qatar (& other arab nations).

I'd really like to get some of this music, I was hoping somebody with more knowledge about arabian music could share some artist names, albums or even the name of the genre for this type of music.

All help much appreciated! :)

I too belong to the same category of PSULTAN..I can't understand even a single word of ARABIC but i still enjoy their songs..Not every but of few singers..I really appreciate NANCY AJRAM, AMR DIAB and NAWAL AL ZOGHBI's song..Well many ARABS don't like RUBY's (egypitan singer)way of singing..But i really like one of her song ENTA AAREEF LEIH..Its too gud..I can recall all the videos which i like but can't recall the words..

sultan

try Nasseer Shamma,Iraqi, he's the best OUD (luth) player in arab world

try also Ziad Rahbani music (not songs) he's got an album called "abu Ali" old but gold.

Marcel Khalifa also has many cds of instrumental oriental music, like OUD duos, trios and quartets and the like.

my recommendation.

enjoy

Yalla!
