My dear friend, it absolutely depends on u first as how u wanna manage ur earnings..Every individual has different likings and desires..And i really meant here with the lifestyles of different nationalities..U r from U.S.A., ur lifestyle would be totaly different from the ASIANS or from the people of other sub continents..The people from ur country may answer u well..

Qatar is a small country with a limited means of entertainment..If ur salary is more then 20K and accomodation-airfares-medical facilities all provided by ur company, u can lead a most decent life here..This all i can say..

It depends on what type of cloths and entertainment you want. For entertainment there is not much to do besides going to the shopping malls or restaurants. You will find everything, from very high end clothing (Gucci, D&G, etc.) to GAP, Banana Republic and department stores. No deals like outlet malls in the US.

Regarding restaurants, depend where you want to dine: Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, TGI Fridays, etc.

Expect prices to be the same to, for example, Boston.

3000-5000 QR in normal spending supermarket.
