weve got a plan going if we get all the details together we can meet up in town to discuss the details and best way forward

To answer your questions.

If I organize this with the guys i know then it will be money collected on the spot from those that show up. either before we head out to the camp site or after. The tour guys will provide the 4x4 with some dune bashing if required, the stage for the dancing or just on the sands depending on the crowd, the tents to laze around etc.

james_w the place will be decided later, but mostly these guys go to the same location as they have their permanent camp set up there. We can discuss this matter later.

So in such a case people just need to show up with their own supplies and pay the fees. Rest will be taken care of.

Best time to do this would be a Thursday evening. Leave doha by 5.00pm by the time we reach camp its gonna be 7.00pm, party goes on till 3.00am and then the drive back home.

Since Dj bong has his own lights, sounds, and generator that will also save us on the cost. let me find out details and i'll update ya all :)

option 1

sounds lyk no hastle but that much money is not coming in from the interested memebers withing a short period.

we can still do it lyk make a list of the memebers and they pay in advance. and whenever the number and money has raised good enough ,, contact thetour operator

(can't involve booz) according to them i guess..

option 2

this will reduce the collecting money hastle and will surely bring down the expense which is an advantage.4x4s only driving the crowd to the spot. transportation available for all.. depending how much do they agree on..which will still require a little collection of money.

option 3

i have the sound,light and generators. + 1 4x4 :-)we pick the spot toghether.

we arrange few snacks and booz all for around 2000 riyals and boom boom pow..

there will be a meeting point at doha where we all gather at around 6pm and start moving at 7pm twards the spot toghether,,because obviously no landmark for the venue. reach there at around 9pm and the music starts at 10-2pm.

how far into the desert do we have to go?? will it be a known place where parties have been before?

a kit list would be useful and maybe people can bring parts of it?

lets hope we can all help sort it out!

Also what kind of timing are we looking at can we party late into the night

Two ways we can work on this. One is if we go through a tour operator (i know a few of them personally) they will arrange for everything to be set up..the DJ just has to show up :P This however might fall a bit expensive coz they will have their safari cost which will include food and drinks (non alcoholic) around Qr.150-250 per person depending on how much i can negotiate with the organizers.

Two, we ask the tour operator to just arrange the 4x4's to take us to the spot and then we arrange our own food drinks,generators etc. This could work out cheaper.

And THREE...we just arrange everything ourselves from 4x4's to generators and everything else in between.

hi Bbuller... i've recently started working at a club..so got a little occupied.

shabz abt the electricity .. we just need 2 generators depending the load as 220 sayed..

now its abt tym to make a list and confirm a date & spot at the beach.. where r the best beach spots.. weather is perfect now..

MC Flex was our DJ in SOuthampton and it was mainly changing sets, choosing the mix and controlling the volume , bass, treble.

I cannot do solo and would just liek to assist you as its something I enjoy and need more practise.

DJ Bong surly private parties happen all around with people more than 30, however your plan here right now is suggesting a get together of random unknown folks which isn't your safest bet. Unless you form some sort of group, meet up with them before hand and then judge for yourself. Organizing big events would mean to first take permission to be on the safe side.

Don't forget this site is being monitored by "authorities" so you never know who is gonna crash your party ;D

Hmm and how many of you have considered the new rule in Qatar of not having a gathering of more than 15 people in a house? or something along those lines. Plus i'm sure there's gonna be booze, whats a party without that. Dont mean to bring u guys down but having such a gathering with loud music etc could possibly land u in trouble with the authorities.

Unless of course you plan to do this in the desert or at some beach.

that is why we need to jumpstart using a free spot wher all of them can make it without thinking twice.. then for further events intersted members can raise some money for a BIGGER event

i got an empty villa.. We can have loud muzic..food..drinks..Waddya think.. We could accommodate around 100 people or more..

But we don’t want too many guys and few gals coz that way we might later lose those few gals.. So we need to have a couple system or atleast a decent ratio of male female.. That way the gals would feel more comfortable attending such parties.. Guys would also not hesitate getting their gals.. If u kno wat i mean..
