Someone from Qatar is offering a business visa for me to enter the country ....do I agree or disagree??

I am a 26 years old girl seeking a job opportunity in Qatar.....There is a Man from Qatar offering me a business visa on the behalf of his company with only it's price value.
I don't know him???
He will be my direct sponsor for 2 months (visa period) until l find the job l want.

To what extend can he interfere in my life there at Qatar through the visa period???? like (having my passport, preventing me from traveling back to my country or even refusing to change the Warranty to the School l will work for)??? or even anything else??

For me it somehow sounds strange ..... but l don't mind sharing the opinion with other people.

What should l do?? agree?? ....or disagree??

Sister,

A small advice. Remove the picture from your profile first. I think that is one the main reasons he offering a visa for you. As a female you should not accept that offer coz he is a stranger for you. If you have any relative or friend in Qatar, ask them to contact this man. Good luck!

Sally if it is business visa so no worry at all

because of the following:

1- he dose not have to have your passport.

2- second he will not take any control of your life because in case ISA you find a job you can move to it easly without any interfere from his side.

3- where are you going to stay?

* in hotel so no worry because he can't get to your room

* if with your friend so make sure he will not give you a visit while your friend is not there

* don't accept any offer from his side as accommodation i mean

* the country here is so safe and the police here is not like in Egypt no offense but i was living there and i know what im talking about, here they are respecting the female in general.

if there is anything i can offer pls PM me

i owe Egypt

If you got offer from a company no probelm you can come but if a single man brings you here and he is a stranger then you have to think twice. What kind of job he offered you? only providing entry visa here, if you got no objection letter from the sponsor you can find another job here it is not a problem. but never accept any offer from stranger, take all his information and pass it to your frieds/relatives here in Qatar if any? If you are ready to survive anything for a job you are welcome. but rememeber no gurantee.

why people ignore the legal side of this matter? Coming to qatar on BUSINESS VISA for the purpose of Job Searching is illegal, and once you got caught you may be punished as well as your "sponsor".

There is no problem in coming on a business visa. But it depends whether you cud find a job or not on certain other factors. Of course it is extend able. It cud be extended for 2 more months so that means you can stay here and look for jobs for 3 months. Good luck.

you said you dont know him, so dont take that risk, it's not worthy.

I strongly disagree. You don't know him and nobody knows what he will do to you once you get here. You said he will be your sponsor for several months while looking for a job. Within this period he 'holds you by the neck' because he will be taking all your documents especially your passport. In addition, you cannot leave the country without an exit permit from him. It's hard to find honest people these days so don't take your chance.
