Possible Teacher - From UK

Hi,
I would like to know what is the possibility of my Mrs getting a teaching job.

She's from the UK and has BA Hons 2:2. She's had book published which are avaiable in shops, and has set up a Saturday school in the UK with 100 over kids - Charity run school.

Although she does not have a PGCE, what are her chances of getting in to some good school teaching (primary/secodnary) when she arrives there?

Also what wages should she be looking at?

Any advice highly appreciated.
Are there any recruiters online? :-)

Thank you for your comments, it's appreciated.

Are there any recognised teaching courses on offer in Qatar, that she could do?

She was supppose to get on the PGCE in Sept but as I've landed a job with the Govt; she'd rather move (aft probation period ending May)

Hope to hear more. TIA

I dont know about working in a school per se but there is tremndous scope for freelance work - particularly with Qatari families - good freelancers are rarely out of work as word amongst the close knit Qatari community travels like wild fire. My understanding is that a good teacher can command upwards of QR250 an hour for instruction.

Agree with postmodernman - credetials are required (and usually attested) in order to get a decent job. She wouldn't want to work at the awful places, if only because she wouldn't get paid much.

not very likely to get a position without the credentials.

They are big into that here, unless its a terrible school, which you wouldn't want to be in anyways.

Thanks for the links...

Not many positions on there sadly.

Most websites that offer teaching positions require you to have the PGCE. I was wondering if it is easy to get a teachers position when one is there already (without having a PGCE).

Anyone?
