any difference of visit visa and tourist visa?

Hi! While browsing questions here in QL, i got confused on Visit Visa and Tourist Visa, which one offers a longer validity, and which one i can extend? thanks.

visit visa is sponsored by your family member, tourist visa sponsored by hotel

It’s not about which one offers a longer stay, it’s about which one you are able to obtain.

-Tourist visa: obtained through Hotels. You apply for this type of visa by yourself as a TOURIST;

-Visit visa (Family visit visa): obtained by your family member who will be your sponsor in qatar (has to be qualified to sponsor you. You parent or your spouse apply for this visa for you as a VISITOR.
