Ozteen you are totally right, this card is issued by labour department for all working women who are on family (father/husband) sponsorship.
It is mandatory by Qatar labour law of 2005 to have such permit for working women or otherwise it may lead to DEPORTATION &/or paying Qrs. 45,000/- riyals fine as per the said law articles !
I think the labor cards rule was only implemented around 2 years ago. I wish I could scan mine but then you will see all my details Lol. But I got it because I was reading some article regarding how we should have this labor card with us. Your immigration officers should be familiar with this. The only reason for the labor card is to prove, for example ladies, that don't have work visa but Family Visa; that labor department allows them to work. Most of my friends under their father/husband sponsorship have them, including me and I'm under company's sponsorship... just incase! however, if you already have your ID Card mentioning your work permit and your sponsor.. i don't think it's really necessary :)
ozteen, Where did you get this blue and white labour card printed in Arabic. That will be your labour card from the organization in which you are working. In Qatar there is only one ID card which is being issued by the Immigration Authorities. I have been in Qatar for more than 20 years and have not seen any labour card other than the ID card.
everybody has to have a labour card to prove that they are allowed to work in Qatar. It's different from your working permit on your Visa/Qatari ID. I have the blue/white card with arabic writing on it. If you don't have one, you should ask your employer for one. even ladies with Husband / Father sponsorship should have it :)
