Arabic sayings

In Qatar we have what is called sayings and many of these sayings came from the Arabic literature, and here are some of them:
1. The neighbor comes before the home.
2. It fall on his hand
3. Give the bread dough to the baker even if he eats half of it.
4. Days are countries
5. Give the bow to its maker.

Here's another one: Extend your foot only the length of your stride.
I do however think that most QLers are the last people that want to learn anything about our culture. They are too busy polishing their superiority complex.
Or am I wrong about that?
