First dose of vaccinations for kitten
Hello,
I need some information on first vaccinations for the Kitten. My kitten is now 2 months old and I need to take her for the first dose of her vaccinations. I reffered to the QL site for free vaccinations provided by Goverment Vet. But they do all the vaccinations like Feline Rhinotrachitis (Flu), Feline Panleukopinia (Enteritis), Calici Virus and Chlamydia for free?
hi all ... where is the goverment vet located?
Yeah I can second that i.e. they do now do the trivac vaccination for free (I asked today when I visited the clinic)

Government Vet clinic gives tri-vac, today only I got it done to my kitten. It was my first visit to Government clinic and I found them much better then others. Doctors are very friendly and answers your each questions with patience. Till now I was visiting private clinic and I found that their consulting charges are very very high and its not worth if you have such a good government free vet center available.
The government vet does NOT give the tri-vac, only the rabies. Animals can not get their rabies shot until at least 12 weeks old.
Yeah I've heard they don't answer the phone. The opening times are between 6.30am and 12.30pm Sun - Thurs, and you can pretty much just turn up any time between then, though they normally do the cat spaying/neutering up until 10am, so after that is probably best. I stupidly managed to forget to ask about the trivac vaccinations. It's probably a good idea if you take the kitten in and ask about the vaccinations and if worse comes to worse at least you'll have the rabies vaccination done and it won't be a complete wasted journey. If you do find out whether they give the trivac free do let me know, as I've been meaning to find out.
Thanks Jennie.. I will wait for your reply. Also please help me with their timings. I tried to call them but they are not answering.
They certainly do the rabies vaccinations for free, though I'm not too sure about the trivac vaccinations. I'll ask tomorrow when I go to the municipal vet. Otherwise it's 180 riyals at most vets (including the consultation cost) and then the kitten will need a booster in 3 weeks time.
I would suggest you call QAWS at Phone: +974 539 6074 or email them [email protected]
