The artist is S. Poddar - a very senior graphic artist with an experience of over 30 years. Subodh has over the last 14 years done paintings and sketches while watching the live Dance performances of eminent artistes like Kelucharan Mahapatra, Mallika Sarabhai, Mallvika Sarukai , Astad deboo and many many others in India and Italy.
Dancescapes is the fruition of these 14 years where he captures the flow of energy from one form and translates it into another equally compelling one.
He has captured that creative flow, those magical moments and movements of a performance, the swirls , the sheer energy....
I wonder if Qatar could also be a stage to present the magic and power of acrylic on canvas.
