Family/Visit Visa

Hi,

My friend got a job in Qatar recently and he wants to take his wife there. When we inquired about the family visa, we got to know that it need 6 months of bank statement. As he is joining only next month, and will be on probation for next 6 mnths, 6 months bank stmt, will be a problem.

Can someone please clarify the visa rules/documents required? We are searching for the Visit option also. But not finding any information on net. Can anyone help? Any internet site which has the up to date information also will do.

Thanks,
Kiran

Dear can please answer my question:

I am an Indian citizen, work here in Qatar from last. I would like to bring my wife and kid in a family visit visa. I have some questions-

1. Is there a minimum Basic Salary to sponsoring family visit visa? If yes, what is the minimum Basic Salary?

2. I heard that we need to submit three months bank account statement to apply for a family visit visa. Is that true?

3. What are the documents that need to apply for a family visit visa? What is the fee for that? How long it takes to get the visa?

4. How long this visa exists? Can we extend the family visa? If we can, do we need to pay for every month extra? How much?

Thanks in advance

Hello drmana,

I heard from someone that marriage cert. must be translated to arabic is that true? if so, is there an autorized agency doing so? and how much would it cost?

Another thing is, someone told me also that it should be authenticated by the chamber of commerce here in Qatar, is this true? Isn't that exagerated? Waiting for your favorable reply..thanks a lot

Family visa means getting Residence permit under husband/wife's sponsership while family visit visa means visa valid for one visit of 1 month duration which is extendable upto 6 months.

I believe documents required are same whether visit visa is for husband or wife but cannot confirm it. Wait for few more replies.

kgbp_0828,you can apply for his visit visa once your RP is stamped in your passport which can take anywhere from a week to a month.

You need your marriage certificate attested by ministry of foreign affairs in your country and again here in Doha by your embassy and Ministry of Foreign affairs, Qatar.

Nope, if you are applying a visit visa for a family then 3 months bang statement is not require. This bank statement is for family residence visa.

For spouse, not difficult if your documents like marriage certificate are proper and attested by your embassy and ministry of foreign affairs here in Doha. Same for the children.

Once your friend comes here in Qatar and clears the process like medical and then receive residence permit, he can apply for visit visa of his wife. It can be done only after receiving RP. This visit visa is extendable upto total 6months. He can apply for her resident permit in the mean while after receiving the required bank statement.
