Have you had any experience using Qatar Airways to transport pets?

When relocating in the hot summer months, pets should NEVER travel in the daylight hours due to the heat and stress. A pet relocator will insist that they travel at night - even if it means them sitting at the airport at 3am!!

Hi

I brought over several cats 18 months ago.

I used a reliable pet relocater service from abroad and they flew via Qatar airways and my wife picked them up herself from customs.

However not too impressed with customs and handling as the cats were petrified and left out in the heat of summer ( July ) for god knows how long with the rest of the cargo ( no ac or anything )

I doubt a pickup by relocaters in Doha would have made any difference to the way they were handled by customs

which destination you are looking for

for Indian subcontinent destinaitons they have mostly small aircrafts which doest have ventilation and Qatar Airways does not accept pets to these destinations.

Qatar Airways is Qatar Pet Relocators preferred airline.

Never had an issue in over 5 years of relocating pets through Qatar Airways.

yes, I brought my dog from London to Doha. No problems even during Ramadan and he was fine. I used Doha Vets meet and greet service this end, much nicer than trying to deal with the Customs men who don't speak much English. I have to say though, the airport staff were actually very friendly
