Resignation Letter

I am working for more than 3 years here in Qatar with my family, I want to resign but I am 100% sure that my employer will not accept my resignation? As far as I know, we don't need to get there permission for our resignation as long as we inform them 1 month before the effective date ( correct me if I am wrong). My question is, is there any way not to accept my resignation letter? I don't have any loan from bank and company but my worry is how do we get our exit permit if he do not accept my resignation letter. Please advise me the best way to do because there is a lot of employees applied for emergency leave and chose not to come back in the company.

Can I get exit permit from labor department if my employer did not accept my resignation letter?

Please help me!

I am not interested to get my gratuity pay and my pending salary since I know it is miracle to happen in our company. My intention is to exit in Qatar even I buy our own ticket. My worry is my wife also under the company so if my employer did not accept my resignation and I need to file the case from labor department after the effective date of resignation how long it will take to get our exit permit? Resignation is not the ideal way to leave our company especially this time because there is no one will replace me and based to our previous employees who resigned , they are waiting until 3 months and above just to get their money and exit permit. Please help me if there is any guy experienced the same thing

it may take ages,

its better to submit your & your wife's resignations then see how it goes.

yest as long she is under thier sponsorship, you have to submitt her resignation as well.

first go through the proper channel and step by step as the procedure. then later on see how it goes.

Thanks guys for response! So meaning it will take 3 months before I can get my exit permit? Company no giving any gratuity or end of service, instead they are holding our salary during vacation and will just get it when we come back. I really want to go home immediately because I have emergency reason but I am sure my employer will ignore it..my second problem is my wife is under our company sponsorship but she is not working on it, do we need to submit her resignation to get the exit permit from my employer and to be legal? If I file the case against the employer about my resignation how long will it take to grant our exit permit?

Dear Gina vco

as an official procedure and labour law no.8 for year 2009.

he must accept your resignation with an official letter from you. and its 3 months period. (the employer can go lower than 3 months notice period)

labour dept. will not issue your exit permit. it has to be by the employer.(unless you filled a case against him regarding your resignation)

when your RP get terminated(canceled) then you dont need exit permit.

as far as i know, a qatari can guarantee you from the airport so you can go out of the country...

but you know, if you decided to resign there should not be any other reason for denying your resignation unless you did not give enough notice period. but it will be easier if you finished your contract. are you saying, you will take emergency leave instead? its better to resign and get your end of service benefits.

temper is something u cant get rid of... by loosing it...
