George Osborne's brother becomes a Muslim to marry his love of 14 years
The younger brother of Shadow Chancellor George Osborne has converted to Islam to allow him to marry a beautiful Bangladeshi-born plastic surgeon he met at university.
Adam Osborne, 33, who was temporarily banned from working as a junior doctor last year following allegations that he prescribed drugs to a friend, 'quietly married' Rahala Noor, 31, in two ceremonies held during the past six weeks. One was a civil ceremony, the other a traditional Asian Muslim celebration.
Dr Osborne's religious conversion is said to have been a condition put forward by Dr Noor's devoutly Muslim family for the marriage to take place.

We see a lot of conversions in India to Islam when a guy wants to get married again only for convenience sake, hope that's not the case here.

robertothebrave, regardless..:))

People keep bouncing from one chakra to mantra to eckankar to this ideology then to that religion, in pursuit for the "truth".

It does happen that people revert or embrace a religion after being atheist for several reasons, one of which is to get with someone. It's a path that may start with personal gratification. Religion is personal too. Maybe the quest for the truth has finally been fulfilled.

You and I see eye to eye on your last statement. You cannot stamp a born Muslim with quality-assured while rebuff reverts’ faith, on the basis that the former was born to Muslims, or have been a Muslim for longer.

I am not judging his truthfulness but I am suspicious of the religious conversions due to marriage. You rarely get this in other religions.

As for being born into any religion you get no choice! Your parents make sure of that

The answer is simple. Nobody should have to.

What comes around, goes around....

robertothebrave, he could have not met her in the first place, he did and was guided to Islam. No one can judge his truthfulness and you cannot judge mine either as a born Muslim. So, let's leave it at that.

The confusing question is, would I be happy if a Muslim reverted for the sake of the love of his life?

If that was the case then surley god would will everyone to convert or fall in love with a Muslim........

I can say that this because of God will because I believe nothing can happen without God will.

I wonder if he would have converted if it was not a condition or if he was not going to marry this person?
