Do I need to give Credit Card to get rent a Car in Qatar?
I want to take rent a car in Qatar, but my car rental company is asking to give Credit Card to block QR 2000/- as a security deposit. He is taking photocopy of both sides of the card from other customers also, which I found is not safe. Please advice. Is it the procedure here to give credit card? Thanks.
Try to look for another rent a car company. i think some are asking only for original passport and they will return it 3 days from the date you return the car.
You need to give credit card as security deposit. This money they will block. They will use it only if you run away without paying any traffic violation. Blocking is safe as you will be having receipt for it. Regarding, photocopy from front side is ok but make sure you put some sticker on 3 digit security code (CVV) on back side of credit card before photocopy. Never give this code to anyone, without this code no one can use your credit card online.
