On Arrival Visa

Dear all

My mom's sister and family needs to visit us and stay with us for a couple of days on their way to India from US in July/August. Being US citizens, do they require a prior entry visa to enter Qatar? Or can they just show their passport in Airport imigration and get an on arrival Visa stamped?
Could anybody guide me please with the formalities required if any proir to their arrival on order to avoid last minute hassles?

you can get visa on Arrival again as of today. Qatar has reverse it's decision on getting visa proir to travelling to Doha.

There are 33 nationals getting visa on arrival & US is in that list, but recently heard that Qatar is going to stop this facilities and visa to be arranged prior to arrival to Qatar, it is better to cross check with Immigration.
