Driving Test Tomorrow.

We all know yesterday afternoon was ‘dusty’….SLOW DOWN.

As you can see from the report below last evening 2nd May 2010 a 15 vehicle crash occurred approximately 1.5km north from the flame roundabout on the RL highway.

The incident occurred in poor visibility (sand/dust), and low light.

14 casualties were reported

Immediate lessons to be learned are as follows.

1. REDUCE YOUR SPEED IN LOW VISIBILITY CONDITIONS

2. PUT ON YOUR HEADLIGHTS (LOW BEAM) AND MAKE YOUR VEHICLE VISIBLE.

3. INCREASE THE DISTANCE BETWEEN YOU AND THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF YOU.

4. STAY ALERT AND THINK 360. THIS MEANS BE AWARE OF ALL OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS

5. WATCH YOUR BACK FOR SPEEDING VEHICLES AND MOVE OUT OF THE WAY IF YOU SEE THEM COMING.

6. IF TRAFFIC IN YOUR LANE IS SUDDENLY SLOWED PUT ON YOUR 4-WAY FLASHING HAZARD LIGHTS TO WARN OTHERS

7. DRIVE IN A RESPONSIBLE MANNER AND HAVE RESPECT FOR OTHER ROAD USERS IRRESPECTIVE IF THEY ARE DRIVING INCONSIDERATLY.

8. KEEP A COOL HEAD AND DON’T GET ANGRY AT OTHER ROAD USERS, AS IT CAN DISTRACT YOU.

9. DRIVE DEFENSIVELY TO STAY ALIVE.

10. LET US ALL WORK TOGETHER FOR A SAFER FUTURE.

Short Description of the incident: Major RTA at RL highway before Umm Birka R/A outbound, 15 vehicles involved. 14 casualties. Station 2, 3 & 7 ambulances were dispatched and the casualties transferred by RL ambulances to Alkhor hospital. Road was blocked and Fire crew cleaned the road and the vehicles had been removed off the road. Area confirmed clear at time 23:19 by S/Officer Mr. Ali who informed that all the vehicles including the trailer is off road, B-01, B-06 returned back to fire station 2

positive part is i saved some ones life on the road!!!!....by not geetting the driving licnce.

BTW did u guys hear abt the accident that happened yesterday , it killed 14 people.

instructor teach you. Don't depend on what you know (if you're an old driver), or if you are a new driver, just keep your composure and confidence. If you got nervous, just have a deep breath and you'll be fine!

The instructor have given you all the tips to pass the test, just follow it and it will be fine!

i can help by telling a good news that i have passed my driving test today Tuesday two hours ago .

you must not be tensioned at all ,i was going to fail because of being tension , the car motor would stop while i was making parking , when i was releasing the clutch to go reverse i felt iam too tension to control the clutch but i got it and used the accelerator a little , also in the road test dont trust other drivers ,the majority dont follow the rules because they already have their licenses , .in the round a car was driving in the external lane it means it will go out from the round at the nearest road (i thought) so i decided to go ahead but suddenly that car moved to the internal lane of the round at the front of me i could only stop smoothly because i was driving at low speed

so after passing the 100 meter to the round signal dont exceed 30km/h

then ask all good people you know to pray for you it is just good lock

Dont use your brakes and drive through roundabouts as if you are the only person the road! and dont forget to flash your lights at anyone in your way.. follow these rules and you are sure to pass :0)

Stay calm....

You got to stay calm for 2 minutes only.

Wear seat belt, check the mirrors.

Do the "Neutral check" before you start the car....by pulling the gear lever to your side.

After drive test when you are asked to stop, use indicator before you park & park the car deep into the side lane.

Rizks....ok listen carefully ...

if he parks it shallow ...when he opens the door to get out the door of the car can get in the way of the traffic.

This is very important when parking on small roads...

eg like the one near Taxi hotel.

Should i take along with me some measuring tape to measure the depth ?

if u can drive and aware the road ethics ...you will get the licence...

BTW wts wrong wid d karwa service xpct dt you hav to wait veryyy long to get 1... other than dt everythng seems fine here in qatar ;-). Dnt wrry jst be yourself 2mr n dont 4get to go through the sign book.. i had my test early morning at 6 or somethn n i hadn't gone through the sign book till the last min.. cuz i alwyz keep things pending to the last min... but it ws all gud.

aah Rollin..i do care..i want to do it in first try...im Tired of karwa now.....u know how it is ..

When I gave my driving test, i heard from ample of people telling me how careful i should be n wat should i do and wat i shouldn't but trust me buddy all you got to do is keep your cool and give the test, who cares if you mess up the 1st time (i knw you do care ;-) )
