For the last 3 days a man is coming and ringing bell from population survay department.I keep telling him all the time that pls come after 6 Pm and my husband will be available at that time, but he comes always at 7:30 Pm and he explain that he needs to sit for 20 mins minimum to write the detail.Today when he rang the bell for 5 mins continuously i told my daughter to tell him that come tomorrow and the father is not available,he scolded my daughter very badly and harrased her that he will be going to complain to the police.

I dont understand the sense of taking information like this.Pls advise what should I do to face such people.

thanks

I have heard alot of people saying the census people do not seem trained nor speak properly and act overly agressive and rude. Due to the culture here they have to be more sensitive and realize just because you say you are with the census doesn't mean everyone will open the door to ya. I am sure they are finding it hard to do their job here but they should act respectful as well.

Your previous action was right...you told the person yourself about the non availability of the male member at the time...

But I concluded that you didn’t clear the right situation to him...you said,

Come after 6:00 pm... & 7:30pm is also after 6:00pm

but at the end you made a silly mistake...

Why did you send your daughter to a stranger?

In your presence there is no way to push your daughter to face or handle any problem.

I am sorry to hear about your negative experience. I had a very positive and many others had too.

I would suggest to call the main line and ask to speak to someone about this issue and schedule a proper meeting, if you wish to give the info.

As far as I know it is still voluntary but no harm to assist
