How to ensure safety of our children?
my heart goes out to the parents of Sarah and i cant stop my tears looking at the pic of the angelic face....I am a mother too and my son goes to one of the prominent Indian schools DMIS here and I am happy with his transportation facilities as the driver and helper are both very concerned and caring towards kids ( as advised by my son).
Suddenly this incident has woken up all the parents for the safety of their kids...and all the blames go to the drivers helpers and the school...In this case i feel it is the fault of the school for not providing enuff facilities but what about all the parents who travel with the children in front seats and no belts...? I have instructed my son and the helper to ensure that he is wearing his seat belt all the time but i have seen that a lot of kids dont and the streets of qatar have no regards for school buses.. forget about other vehicles.
we also have to teach our kids to be vigilant and train them to deal with emergency situations like this (for example blow the horn if you are locked in a vehicle. or train them to open the doors and windows of the buses
(they obviously shldnt/cant do this around the driver n helper)
the schools also need to have some kind of tracking systems in case a child is absent..the parents need to advise the school if the child is absent every single time ( just a phone call or email )and if the child is absent without notice then they need to contact the parent to ensure all is OK and the child did not board the bus.
LET US ALL GET TOGETHER AND WHILE WE PRAY FOR SARAH, WE ALSO ENSURE THAT THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN AGAIN.....! TO ANYONE
recommendation to your schools. It will somehow improve everything for the betterment of services, both ways!
thanks Arien i did too but I feel that the more consiousness we can bring on this ...the better it is for everyone....
