Should we show sympathy or no ?

A few days back,I was entering Al Safeer Hypermarket after parking my car,a young man in a Land cruiser sitting with a lady called me from behind,he said " Please listen to me,I am not from Qatar,I live in Oman,I was returning from Saudi after performing Omrah,on the way my vehicle went out of order, all my money is spent in repairing it at Hafouf,I entered Qatar to take help from a friend who lives here but now I cant find him,
I need some monetary help, we are hungry will eat some food and buy petrol to reach back to Oman."

I said, alone I cant help you, this is 50 riyal, have some food and request other people, he took the money said thank you and drove away.

Interesting thing is that, yesterday I was sharing this experience with my colleagues, one of them told me the same thing happened with him one month before at Lulu parking area, same story-Land cruiser sitting with a lady, returning from omrah, live in Oman, need help for food and petrol,
But he did not give him any thing,

Should we show sympathy to such people ???????????/

We should show sympathy and tell them sorry we don't fall for these scams :)

Also beware of people who approach you and show you an empty packet of tablets and then say they need money for thier life saving medication.

it's all a scam!!!

They are just trying their luck to find gulible people who will give them money.

Why not give money to a recognised charity then you won't feel either guilty for not giving these hustlers money, or ripped off when you do.

I believe, it happens everywhere. I've been a victim of such thugs back in my country. I was kind of hypnotized and ended up losing Rs. 4,500/-

LOL! Actually when I saw him about 3 months ago he was in a crap station wagon! If he's in a Land Cruiser now, begging must be going well!
