* QAWS Kennels Finished! *
A huge thank you to all of our supporters who have helped raise the money to build this new air-conditioned kennel block for the dogs at QAWS. There are a few minor cosmetic things to finish but the dogs have moved in and are happy enjoying a fantastic new building built by our supporters. It's ended up over budget and over due but then what building isn't!
A special mention to Byrnes, SpaceMakers, Al Muftah Company, GAC, Qatar Veterinary Centre & the AMCF (www.amcf.nl) for all their help with getting us back on our feet.
Thank you to all our volunteers who have stood by us and continued to help through extreme temperatures, the shelter resembling a building site and the hard times.
We are grateful to everyone who contributes to animal welfare in even the smallest of ways - putting some water down for a street kitten will make a huge difference to that one animal's life.
This block is of 40 kennels and it's already full. We could have 100 kennels and still not have space to take in every dog that needs us but for now we excited to have this brand new building which will make looking after the animals easier which will make their lives better!
We welcome anyone who wants to come and visit the new shelter and meet some of our animals!
Long may QAWS continue to rescue animals in Qatar.

Knowing Charlie I think he's sussing out his new kennel and working out it's weak spots to try and get out!! Unfortunately for him, these kennels are all concrete & metal and there's no more wood for him to chew through to escape!!
Thank you everyone - we're chuffed to pieces with the new kennels because it'll be easier to clean which leaves us with more time to spend with the animals. The new cat, kitten & puppy portacabins also give all the animals more space.
