Iranians are hellbent on making a arse out of themselves. Whats the punishment for the man who was involved in adultery or did she do it with a tree.

It's good high official of human rights ordered to review the judgement... hopefully, the decision will revise for good.

I am always shocked by such barbaric decisions and acts of people of this world. does it feel good to live in primitive way?

I think something has gone wrong with these people. They don't deserve to be included in the modern world.

There is no limit to the stupidity of the Saudi and Iranian barbarians.

This news reminds me of 'Stoning of Soorayya'

Sad. Very sad.

By anonymous• 1 Jul 2010 20:57

Because theyre leaders are primitive minded semi-humans who cant be trusted with weapons that can cause large scale destruction.

Height of modesty in Taliban ruled Afganistan!

Iran to follow suit!

By hamadaCZ• 1 Jul 2010 20:31

Well said. The Iranian regime haven't enforced the same laws when some of the key leaders (Revolutionary guards) were charged with human rights' violations last year when hundred of protesters were institutionally raped and sodomised in detention.

As for the nukes, the whole Middle East should be nukes free, otherwise Iran and others have the full right to acquire and develop any kind of nuclear/WMD.

The Iranians must go out of their way to garner bad publicity.

What have the two got to do with each other..?

By anonymous• 1 Jul 2010 20:21

This is why the west doesnt want them to get nukes. They are still living in the 4th century. Animals.

By edifis• 1 Jul 2010 20:01
edifis

That is why the nukes should be taken off Iran! They can't have nukes while living in the stone age!

By gkramer• 1 Jul 2010 19:55

That's absurd.

Good point. I am assuming that it is because she confessed and they didn't...

Why are the men inovolved in this "adultery" not getting stoned or did I miss some part of the article?

I agree with all your commnets except the first sentence.

The Iranian regime is perverting Islamic laws to control the population...

Sorry adey,

a bit off the topic : i'll appreciate some Qlers, and let hope that Dr. Aafia too get a fair trial and to find a compensate of her precious 7years of illegal prison and loss of her kid in a society where ppl are living in 21st century.

LOL.... still practicing millenium old Islamic laws. As much as I hate the Iranian gov't, I'm not going to completely pound them into the ground this time like I usually do. This sentence is ridiculous and will only make them look horrible in the eyes of the world and their own people.

The laws in the west are way too lenient on criminals. If we had stricter laws (I will never condone stoning as a punishment) we would have A LOT less people committing crimes, especially drug trafficking, armed robbery, and of course murder, if they knew they would suffer the same consequences that the Iranians do. There bmust be a happy medium there somewhere.

Which century are they living in? :-((

Exactly.

I was just reading this online when you posted...

I hope the Iranian authorities see sense and commute her sentence. She says that her confession was under duress , so she should get a retrial. These Mullahs are not onlu alienating themselves from the outside world, but also from their own citizens with these draconian laws.
