Parking in somebody else parking space.
Way back 1998 when I came here, there were just a few cars in the road. Today, not only the roads are congested but also parking spaces. I am living in a flat where I am assiged with one parking space. Since some of the tenants in this buildings have two or more cars, parking is a problem. It is becoming a nuisance to knock on my neighbors to remove their car from my slot. Most of the time I end up with a heated argument. Can you believe that they are the ones getting angry, it's my parking slot and I believe I have the right, or do I. Is there any way to complain or any parking violation for this? Coz' I am thinking of moving out from this flat because of this. Any suggestion would be very much appreciated. Thanks.
Indians and egyptians are notorious in taking over parking slot and the thing is they are the oe who get angry when confronted.. Unbelievable.

Or just buy yourself 2 traffic cones and put them on your spot :)
And maybe you can later even chain them together :)
Is that a filipino thing to do??? I don't mean that as an insult, but I have seen a lot of filipino's do that ;-)
Dont be rude, just install a double chain on the front opening end of your slot and put padlock in it when you go out.
ES is correct. I accidentally (walla it was an accident) parked in the wrong slot at the office and was blocked in by a Land Cruiser who parked so close his bumper was touching mine. I was too shy to find the guy and him to forgive me and move his car, so I used the foot in front of my car to back and fill 600 times until I could get out of the spot. I will NEVER make that mistake again!
Well flatting a tire sounds nice, but what will happen if both sides start doing the same thing :) i am sure he will notice your car the next day and do the same to you :)
cars, too! That's the problem, it will increase his enemies! Lol!
Just park behind their car so they cannot get out. Then they will have to come and get you to move your car...
I've been letting the air out from the tires. Nope, I didn't get the results in my first or second try, but they got the message eventually. Yes, there were arguments too. I started with being diplomatic and simply asked them not to repeat it, but that didn't work. That concept is alien here I think.
Next I printed messages and placed it on the windshield, with a threat of calling the police. That too didn't work. Tried different (unoffensive)messages but they all failed. All throughout this ordeal I never actually called the police since I was thinking by the time the police comes these violators may have moved their cars. It was frustrating. Yes, I did want to 'sign' on their cars but never did it.
Try what I did. There's a way of simply 'flatting' a tire. This trick we were doing when we were small kids. I never realized it will come in handy to drive home a point. No nails or knives, just a small pebble will do. Flat all the 4 tires and that's harsh enough for the guilty to get your point. Say what? He'll park again? Then do the same thing. Your deed can be done in less than a minute. His delay and frustration is almost 'priceless'.
Oh, how can a small pebble do the trick? It's not rocket science, just think about it. :)
Put some note on his windshield saying " i'll break this glass if u don't remove your car on my parking slot". If he don't remove his car.. put his side mirrors on his doorstep..
I bet he will never park in your parking slot again.
Complain immediately to landlord and give him threat to vacate the house. If works fine otherwise plenty of houses are empty now ,u may get better than that
Come on guys, Arguement and fight is not the solution here.
Talk to the landlord when you go to pay your rent. Tell them that your rent is including the parking which is being used by other residents who are fighting with you if you ask them to remove their car. Tell him to take immediat action or you will be obliged to reduce the house rent as the contract is including the shaded parking. I am sure the landlord will take necessary action.
it happens to me once...during hard discussions i just shouted simple words of "why you doing this to me!?...did i do this to you!?". The last phrase i hear from him was "Im sorry". hehehe
yeah tell me about it.. just recently, some jerk abandoned his car on my dad's parking space.. sat there for at least 4 days,... thank goodness it's gone now.. if it was up to me, I'll have it towed then abandoned somewhere in the desert...
Throw some S*it on the windshiel of tat car.
it tat doesnt work, leave a dead RAT on the bonut of the car...
NOW dont ask me frm were you get dead rats...:(
Though i park my car in the slot allocated to me, I hope i am not in such a neighbourhood where people would let air out of the tires and cause major inconvenience. Good luck with all these advises :)
Letting air out of the tires seems to work in my building. First they either fold the side mirrors or put up the wipers like just1 said, then if they still don't move they let the air out of one of the tires.
You have to be tough in this country. Niceness gets you nowhere.
I agree with olive "Let the air out of their tires"
Put up their wipers, fold the side mirrors or put some note in their front windshield glass.
Seamlessly damaged the car by simple scratches.
There are many bastards here in Doha most of the time they are blocking the main gate of the house.
I cant imagine there are many people here not capable to think, act properly and do some stupidity.
We shifted house two times because of the parking slot argument with (Pana / Panadol) neighbors.
lol Colt......
Take Darude there and tell him to bite the a55wipe in his a55 :-))
Put sugar in their gas tank
Just position your car in a way that they could not get theirs out, a few times of that will get the idea across.
>Olive, that would be a actual crime that the cops may take action on. Although I agree it would get the point across, I think it would cause escilation of the problem.
this and say My PRIEND REMOVE YOUR CAR sure they will get angry.
No go and yell and say move your car and next time i dont want to see your car parked in my slot.
and if you still find their car parked there get a big nail and smack em in their car's all tyres
Just scratch the car using your key and put on the hood 'I SAID NO PARKING HERE IDIOT' hahaha
Just be polite and have patience. Arguments will only make the matter worse. Contact the building management and ask them to mark the allocated spaces. Else, take a print out and paste it at your parking slot. Sadly, it wont help much due to the mentaility of the other tenant :(
beat the mfcuker up and tell him to stay the fcuk outta your parking ;-)))
if the assigned space is a DEDICATED space for you, then you have all the right. But if they just say, every tenant have the right to park first come first serve basis, then it's really a gray area!
nO USE CALLING THE COPS. i'VE TRIED THAT. THEY SAY THEY WILL CONTACT THE OWNER BUT THEY NEVER DO.
Let the air out of their tires. If that doesn't work, take a key to the paint work.
lol..I had posted a similar one to this...just backtrack my posts in my profile...
What you could do is assign garages to each flat & label them or you can chain your space.
But my problem was different to yours...Randoms ended parking in my space!!!
to happen better look for another place.... you will just end up fighting everyday with those bastards...
If no action, move out. Life's to short to argue with idiots.
Compalint to the landlords or the owner of the building.
or the cops, and make sure the cops throw him behind the bars were 16 Plagued Rats are there....:(
