Dear Ql members,
Am planing to go UK for job and settle there, here anybdy knws where can i get all these information regarding UK jobs or visa related, any consultancy or anyone can help here...to start my process..
southall is right, you need to be highly skilled or have an EU passport.
if you are a doctor, qualified teacher or a nurse, you may be able to get through as well (so called shortage occupations)
I was living in doha and moved to uk,and the fact is they have now introduced a curb in non-european passport holders,so unless u have EU passport it is very difficult to get a visa and ithink they only allow 24000 Non Eu passport holders from the whole world and this 24000 should be high skilled.so try ur luck.u can apply through british embassy at sherif building opposit toyota signals that is next to airport.
there is joke goes like this..... the people from UK are coming to doha to work, then you are going to UK for what? according to them once you reach there at the airport you will find taxi but no drivers. if you ask somebody in the airport where are taxi drivers they will tell you they are in doha working as managers!!! cheers
You won't know how good you have it here until you have lived there and there (Oh Canada, USA, lucky-country).
And by the time you have got that oh, so desirable a passport, it will not be so desirable.
I have to agree... why?
Unless you already are entitled to work in the UK (have UK or EU passport), it will be very difficult. UK is currently (yet again) tightening immigration rules
Anyways... here's the link to the info you're after

Daft question, but... why?
High cost of living, taxes, cold miserable weather. You'd be better staying here!
