IS IT TRUE THAT NOW WHEN YOU TAKE SOMEBODY A VISITING OR FAMILY VISIT ITS NOT ALLOWED TO WORK HERE IN QATAR, THEY WILL STAMP THE VISA THAT ITS NOT ALLOWED TO WORK?
IS ANYONE KNOWS ABOUT THIS BECAUSE I'M PLANNING TO BRING MY BROTHER HERE.
newkidontheblock, you mislead people. no one agency wouldn't issue a Visit (tourist) visa for someone who they want to hire. This is illegal activity, why to take this risk? Your friend most likely came to qatar on Business visa, which are issued for the short term employees, and which is perfectly legal.
You can work only having following documents:
1 Work visa (under company or private employer sponsorship)
2. Work permit (while you are ander your family member's sponsorship)
3. Business visa (for short term employees)
Any other types of visa (family, tourist, on arrival, etc.) are not allowing to the person to work in Qatar.
i dont know about the qatar law about visit visa is not allowed to work. but in that case, let me share this story of my former colleague.
he was hired from the Philippines thru an agency and was brought here thru visit visa. for more than a month, the employer didn't send him to medical and finger printing. after a few weeks, the employer decided to let him go (cancel working in the company). he went home (exit) yesterday back to his home country.
he can still come back within 4 months if he really desired to work in Qatar with that visa that the employer provided him. he will come here and apply directly to any employers in Doha.
Actually I'm a Filifino someone told me that their visa will be stamp at the Qatar Embassy in Philippines that it is not allowed to work. Does it not gonna be a problem on transferring the visit to working visa in immigration if they see the stamp?
as drmana said, one has never been allowed to work while on visit visa. One needs either a Work visa issued by his/her employer, or a Work permit in case he/she is under the family member's sponsorship.
It was never allowed to work with visit visa. It needs to be converted to work visa by your employer once you get a job. Then only it is legal to work.
About family residence visa, one need to get work permit with NOC from sponsor (spouse/father etc) to work legally.
