Is there any specified working hours during ramadan for pregnant women?
By jhongcaranto •
Hi guyz. please advise. My wife is now 8 months pregnant. Is there any specified working hours during ramadan for pregnant women? Is there any section or clause which covers this area under Qatar Law?
Some companies have this policy to work for half day during RAMADAN..I was the lucky one when i was pregnant as i was allowed to work for only 6hrs in a day..
Since you are in your 8th month of pregnancy, you can talk to your employer/boss to grant you a half day leave incase you are fasting and your company works for full day during RAMADAN...
And please don't exert yourself much at your last stage now..Take rest and don't take tensions much..
All the best for your safe delivery...
there are no specified working hours. I was 9 months pregnant during Ramadan last year. Its the normal working hours during Ramadan. But, as someone mentioned, pregnant women are exempt from not being able to drink or eat during the day.
In fact, I was stopped twice by the police drinking water in the car (I didn't do it completely in front, I dropped down a bit in the car to drink). One was still mad at me even though he could see I was pregnant.
And, with this heat, she needs to drink lots of water right now. Make sure she gets a lot of rest. I often left early just because even working through 4 hours was like I'd worked 20.
Good luck and congratulations!!!
Normal working hours (as per QLL) - pregnant women are exempt from fasting :o)
I think 6 hours work a day..otherwise she can take leave!!
yeah...why not?...you mention almost 8 months so you people can request and apart from this they will reduce working hrs..regards
