Anyone else had their Smart OFW Sim blocked yesterday (Aug. 6, 2010)?

hi peeps! i'm just wondering if anyone else have the same problem with their Smart OFW sim being blocked yesterday (Aug. 6, 2010)?

it was working fine the night before and when i woke up yesterday morning, there was no signal. i asked my flat-mates, they said nothing's wrong with theirs. i thought it was because i forgot to tell my wife to send e-load for like 2 or 3 months already so i asked her to send e-load like the last time it happened. but this time, ayaw talaga bumalik ng signal. i also tried re-activating online via their website to no avail.

i decided to ask this question because when i got to the office this morning, i found out that some of my pinoy office mates lost their signals yesterday (up to today) also.

i know i can buy another sim sa souq but it would really be a pain in the ass to change nos. since my contacts in pinas knows my no. already and it would suck to inform them all one by one about my new no. if ever i'd have no choice but to buy a new one.

sabihin na nating kasalanan ko kasi hindi ko na-load-an but you would think Smart would at least send text reminders to us OFW sim users kung kailangan na load-an at made-deactivate na 'diba? that's called after-sales service. SMART SUCKS!!!

continuation pa din:

11) click also after sales request (icon on bottom left corner) and fill up the form and tell them your problem and request to re-activate para lang sure, ganun kasi ginawa ko.

i know medyo tedious but it still beats buying a new ofw sim and telling all your contacts back home about your new no.

hope this helps.

God bless!

continuation:

8) under inquiries you can check your balance, dun ko naverify yung ni-load sakin ng wife ko na pumasok sya kahit na wala akong signal kahapon. actually nakalagay dun "Minimum balance of Php 100.00 is required to activate this feature." my advise is magpa-load muna kayo ng 100 bago kayo magpa-reactivate sa website nila

9) under services, you can (re)activate your international roaming, sabi within 24 hours babalik and true naman, bumalik ngayon signal ko. then just to be safe sabi ko sa wife ko every month load-an ako maski 100 which is the supposed maintaining balance para di nila i-deactivate

10) take note of the SR (service request no.) for follow-up purpose (it will say 25 minute pero yung sakin almost 24 hours)

11) click also after sales request (icon on bottom left corner) and fill up the form and tell them your problem and request to re-activate para lang sure, ganun kasi ginawa ko.

mga kapatid: thank God bumalik na ang signal ko! i don't know kung kusa lang bumalik or dahil sa ginawa ko pero 2 sim na yung na-revive ko nung ginawa ko ito kaya siguro it's worth trying:

1) go to http://smartpinoy.net.ph/ and REGISTER

2) login your newly registered account

3) click on smart web connect (yellow bar below login box)

4) register your mobile no. together with the ICCID no. (16 digit no. imprinted on the back of your sim)

5) create your profile

6) they will send you email with link to verify your account. click as told.

7) login now

8) under inquiries you can check your balance, dun ko naverify yung ni-load sakin ng wife ko na pumasok sya kahit na wala akong signal kahapon. actually nakalagay dun "Minimum balance of Php 100.00 is required to activate this feature." my advise is magpa-load muna kayo ng 100 bago kayo magpa-reactivate sa website nila

Yes me also... share the same problems and in fact most of my friends also... however there are others who works perfectly fine... I guess its not blocked... maybe smart has problem with the support network... I reported this to smart but no answer... maybe they knew the problem. I also called Qtel but they said smart has a problem but didnt specify... Up to now I am waiting for the signal to resume... I just read other similar problems like this in the past and they got their signals back in a few days.
