hi to all kababayan, i have some question with regards to my case here!

i have already my authenticated working entry visa in my passport from Qatar embassy here in the Philippines its dated entry point is July 1,2010 - December 28, 2010. Now i will be in HongkOng for 5days tour but from there i will be crossing to go in Qatar. Here in my question as fallows:

What are the requirements documents from Hongkong immigration in the airport if i will take my flight from there? is it ok that i will just take 1 way ticket going to Qatar for my status working visa? and do i need that OEC from the POEA Philippines in the hongkong or the contract from employer? That i don't have yet that contract of employments thats why i cant get OEC form POEA. Because what my employer told me that it will be given the contract once i'll be in Qatar and it will process too of the working permit or my RP status there once i'm already there.

Please give me some feedback about this your reply and suggestion will very appreciated.. Thanks

Arly your making things more complicated as i told you the Bureau of immigration are very strict now even those people going as tourist in different countries like hongkong to minimize human trafficking and been ordered by the president of the philippines to be more stricter just last week there are 300 to 400 tourist and undocumented visa holder that been hold in the immigration and also they will notice your passport with stamp of Qatar visa and likely they will know you try to escape as an illegal worker because even though as you told your legally have working visa right? and as i told you i am direct hired also and been advice by other people also to go to hongkong so need for me to process medical and POEA but as i told there are cases that people are doing crossing country that been notice by the immigration people and things more complicated for them to go now. The decisions still up to you were just giving an advices hope it helps

thanks for the informative message...

1. i will go in hongkong, because i'm getting away for the requirements from the airport immigration in the Philippines because of my case! i could fly directly in Qatar if i have my OEC from POEA but that is my problem no contract to be shown for OEC process! now this is my question again? can i work it out that in Qatar as what other do they come for tourist but they will converted aso working visa and they will take the process for working permit having the contract from labour there?

2. no its not for pleasure, it purposes to cross country?so i'm asking what are requirements in hongkong is it the same as it here in Philippine airport?

3.i know it is a must to get OEC from POEA for the verification of contract and for the protection of OFW! actually my employer has that contract between us and has been apply in labour law there, the problem has been stated in above! thats why my employer get me a working visa and its already under my name and its already approved in MOI and has been authenticated here in Qatar embassy. the problem in the POEA is they want the contract that has been authenticated also in the Philippines embassy there which my employer can not do the work at the moment because of ramadan they work only in the morning thats why he ask me if i could come there without that OEC and have any way to go there then once i'm there i will process my papers in Philippine embassy and to fallow the all RP permit,ID's that will apply there once i'm there!

4.I'm sure for my working status there because i have already my visa from MOI and already authenticated here in the Qatar embassy and already stamp as sticker in my passport!

Thanks for your thought but im not "DESPERADO"!!!hehhee thats why i'm asking clarification and suggestion here!thanks again....

Since you have working visa.. I think you cant get a visit nor business visa with the same name and the same country.. and before going here get your contract you might say ..... "bat ganun pinalitan nila"..

I hope I'm wrong and you can come here to Doha without hassles. But all points taken, there is something fishy in your situation and trying to circumvent the procedures might do you harm than good. Well, my opinion only Try to listen to others!

thanks, but i didn't get your message i "you can't go out of our airport without OEC and to get one, you need a contract" so u mean if ever i be arrived there at doha they still they look for OEC and the contract? the contact is not a problem my employer have already that, but not yet submitted in Philippine embassy for authentication!

and again i get confuse in this "Your case is a "chicken and egg" condition. Maybe business visa will be easier! I hope I'm wrong and you can go out and arrived here safe and without hassles!" what u mean for this that its better that business visa could apply with me not working visa? and why u said that u hope your wrong?why is that? sorry i need to ask clearly for me to understand... thank you again...

Arly, now i get your point..but before coming in qatar you must have your valid contract with your employer. How come the company trying to hire you manage to give you working visa and yet they can't provide you a valid contract? Maybe Lyndon is right, SCAMM!

that's also a question, maybe when u arrived here to sign the employment contract u will just be surprised that the salary discuss when u were in the philippines is not the same written in the contract with regards to this, u have ni right to complain in POEA because u didn't follow the procedures and proper documentation for the protection of the OFW rights.

1. Why is there a need for you to fly to Hongkong then from there, you are flying to Qatar? Go to Qatar directly.

2. From your 1st paragraph, you are given a working visa by Qatar. So it means, you are going to Qatar, in priority, and not to Hongkong. If in any reason, you are flying to Hongkong just for pleasure, delay this pleasure trip for sometime, and go to Qatar for your Work.

3. Do not ever try to leave the country (Philippines) with a working visa, without the knowledege of POEA. POEA shall issue the OEC to you once they have verified your contract. It is for your own good.

4. If your employer does not want to give you your contract copy, be careful as this might be a fraud. How sure are you about your working status here in Qatar, if you don't have the idea of what are expecting form your job, I suppose, since, you dont have a copy of your contract?

for now i could not get direct flight in Doha, Qatar because i don't have yet my OEC that will be need in airport immigration for my departure!i read some forum before here that they take a package tour in hongkong then from then the get direct flight to come there with no documents required like OEC from POEA in the airport for departure just a visa and ticket but im not sure of that..so i'm asking here for some clarification or suggestion?

if u have suggestion it will be very appreciated.. thanks

if your visa is working, you can't go out of our airport without OEC and to get one, you need a contract. If you have a friend working in a recruitment agency, try to ask how to deal with your situation, having a work visa but no contract to show the authorities at the airport.

Your case is a "chicken and egg" condition. Maybe business visa will be easier! I hope I'm wrong and you can go out and arrived here safe and without hassles!

To you Arly, where you really want to go first QATAR or Hongkong? To avoid any problem, why dont you come here in Qatar directly from your country?

Now we have contract that also apply in labor there but the problem it should be apply also for authentication from the Philippines embassy there and many requirements that may apply also before them to get the authentication and to be send here for the OEC. Now its ramadan so its half day work there no one could do the work for my papers because they doing the work also in the morning! He want me to come asap there so that i'm the one to fix all the application in Philippine embassy there! so im looking for the alternative way so that i will be there asap so that i will fix my papers there!

not HongKong! Unless you take a flight via HongKong which I doubt there is!

You are just making things complicated when it could be as simple as getting on a plane flying to Qatar.

I just wonder why your prospective employer doesn't want to give you a copy of your contract which you need for the OEC and clearance.

Will you tell us what's your prospective work position in coming here?
