Hi, a few questions regarding delivery at womens hosp.

1. Does Women's Hospital allow the husband to accompany/support his wife in the labour room?
2. Are husbands allowed to stay over night with his wife in the hospital room after delivery?
3. Can our 4 year old son stay with us in the hospital too? If no, does anyone know the visiting hours for children to meet their new younger sibling(s)?

thankx for ur responses

no men are allowed in the labour room.my mom stayed with me throughout my labour but had to leave the room for the delivery as this was the hospital policy.

i stayed in a private room after my delivery and my husband stayed overnight with me although there are no extra beds he slept on the couch and nobody said anything.also guests were allowed to come at any time so i didnt know about the hospital visiting hours but i think the sharing rooms are different with regards to husband sleeping over as well as hospital visiting hours..

a private room is much much better than a sharing room with regards to privacy and meals are better too. I applaud the staff at Hamad hospital for their excellent work. They were very supportive throughout my labour and delivery as well as after.
