QAWS Sponsored Dog Walk
Join us at the QAWS farm on September 3rd to mark the 1st anniversary of the fire that claimed the lives of over 40 animals & destroyed the shelter.
We have arranged a sponsored dog walk where people wanting to take part can gather sponsorship from family & friends to complete the 30 minute walk. All the money raised will go directly to helping the animals, from paying the rent, paying off some of the vets bill, buying food etc.
Afterwards there will be a BBQ (after sunset) where everyone is welcome to come (even non-dog walkers). Garveys (Family European Club) have offered to put on the BBQ for us so remember to bring some cash to buy drinks & a burger.
Dog walkers are asked to arrive at 4.30pm so we can collect sponsorship money & assign dogs. The walk will take place at 5.00pm and the BBQ will go on sale as soon as possible.
Visitors are asked to please leave their dogs at home as the shelter dogs would really like all the attention :)
Please call 5539-6074 or email [email protected] for more information or a sponsorship form.
Its over now but did anyone go?

See you soon!

aww i miss it by a few hours :(
At the shelter, where all the dogs are :)
A location map can be found at www.qaws.org
very good info...
where is this walk located ?
Thanks Xena!
All are good, and have settled well in the UK.
Bumping this topic up :)
nice
I remember that walk well...:-) Cammy found herself a wonderful mommy and daddy... How's is she with the little one?
Hope you, your lovely lady and the littlies are doing well:-)
That's a shame.
Maybe it's hungry. Why not give it some food and it might quieten down?
Maybe it's a female in season. Why not take it to the Government clinic and have her neutered for free?
Maybe it's someone's cat that's lost. Why not take a photo and send it to [email protected] to see if it's been reported missing.
actually i'm not in generous mod, simply want to get rid of this cat, making noise all the day in our villa.
Thanks but no thanks - we have enough already :)
i can donate a Cat on this holy occasion to QAWS.
Ah, the QAWS sponsored dog walk - happy memories of my first encounter with QAWS and all involved with it, and the start of my epic adventure to adopt a dog and get her back to the UK!
Will be there & interested to be a dog walker....keep us updated :)
ahhh i forgot about ramadan, sorry :)
In this heat, during Ramadan when many people can't drink, 30 minutes is more then enough.
We also have to think about the welfare of the dogs being walked - most don't want to be out any longer then that.
30 minutes?! thats all?
I'm interested to be a walker. I miss my dogs back home =(
I will be there :)
