FAMILY RESIDENCE

Hi

While I am moving to Qatar next month for employment, I have three options in relation to wife.

First – she stays home in India until her family residence visa is done.

Second – she comes over to Qatar with me on visit visa and then switch to her family residence.

Third – she goes to her parents in Sharjah / UAE and then join me in Qatar when her family residence is ready.

Do you think the third option will work, or does she need to be in India to get her family residence stamped on her passport?

By the way how long it takes for family residence these days? Thanks

Thanks all for the information. I am more inclined towards the third option if no need to be in India for any visa stamp.

\\\ LongTimeResident - what did you mean by "could be verified from anywhere by anybody"? I did not get this... please can you help understand?

My cousin has done third option,My friend has done second option and I have done first option.

Any option you have to wait untill six months to get family residence since you have to provide six months salary transfer through bank.

Meanwhile you can bring her in visit visa in any option and get transfer to residence which is easy process with qr.500/-

But dont take her with you first time come over here, that will be mess up since you are not familiar within the country and you have to go though gatar id process and get in driving licen and you dont know about your job environment.Hence you cannot shceduled with family.

All the best.

If a furnished family accommodation is given to you and ready to be used upon your arrival, then bring her with you on visit visa. Otherwise, let her join you from Sharjah when you are settled down with your job, accommodation and family visa. Note: she does not need to stamp her visa in her passport from anywhere. Once issued, the visa will be available online anc could be verified from anywhere by anybody. Best of luck buddy.

LEt her join her parents in UAE. Then from there you can bring her on visit to DOha once her visit visa validity is over in UAE.

I suggest bring her on visit visa coz they say its easy after the person is on visit. Mind it if you have salary more than 7500 than only you are eligible to get family visa.

first option is not bad also...coz meantime you can stay in bachelors accommodation and you can save more and get the visa for the meantime.

plan c is not a bad option..she can meantime know how this gulf works...also she will see that part of the world (if she hasn't seen yet).

all the best bud ! cheers !
