"SYSTEM of belief and worship"

No system - just the answer to one question - 'Do you believe in god or gods?" answer NO - that's it! Nothing else.

No worship

"informal an activity which someone is extremely enthusiastic about and does regularly."

You mean like swimming, watching football, being on QL etc etc etc

I didn't know they were religions?

Gosh, you learn something new every day! :P

Watch the vids - easier to see and hear than write about it here.

there was a sudden outrage for the mother when this news came out...now this follow up new should be slap to the faces of those people who judge the mother instantly without knowing the truth behind.

But nevertheless what she did is wrong, its not the child fault.

In response to your comment:

"being atheist is also another kind of religion"

For some strange reason, many people keep getting the idea that atheism is itself some sort of religion. Maybe it is because these people are so caught up in their own religious beliefs that they cannot imagine any person living without religion of some sort. Maybe it is due to some persistent misunderstanding of what atheism is. And maybe they just don't care that what they are saying really doesn't make any sense.

One shot, if the locals were punished for the crime of raping their 'domestic helpers' then crime would decrease! But they get away with anything! There is no justice. Human rights abuse.... Ahhhhh don't get me started, I can't say what I think... If you know what I mean!

""Eco-savvy said Where I come from we were known as Sofa cum bed ...

every woman used to hate us we were that filthy, with the help of education ppl are out of this slavery business""

Eco - Are you coming from a red light area in India? Because maybe they use such terms. There is no other place in India where women are known as 'Sofa Cum bed'.

You say your family is always in reading mode, and you write 'Where I come from we were known as Sofa cum bed ...

Is this what you write for your family to read?

By diamond• 17 Sep 2010 23:50
diamond

Oh the poor woman, how distressed she must have been. i hope she can have her baby and bring him up.

Unfortunately this kind of thing does happen in pretty much every country. I've been working lately in the UK with a project that tries to rescue girls and women from the sex slave trade. Many of these girls have had babies and been made to deliver them in appaling conditions (if their owner hasn't kicked her hard enough in the stomach to make her abort) and then the babies are illegally adopted or disappear into the paedoplilia underworld and the girl is supposed to get right back on the job.

It's a sad, sad situation and I heard and saw things I could never have imagined.

By Alumnar• 17 Sep 2010 23:49

One shot, everybody is free to believe in who and what they want. Nobody has the right to impose their believes onto others - but has the obligation to respect everybody elses' believes. That is how I feel. My husband is an atheist. I am catholic. What matters to me is what kind of man my husband is in his heart and towards life. He would sure teach many people what it is like to be a decent, honest, loving and kind human being. Does religion matter? NO. You either are good at heart - or not.

By anonymous• 17 Sep 2010 23:43

You know nothing about me Eco. You know nothing about what I do for Philippino people. Live amongst them and follow their daily struggles for 2 years - that might make YOU a better person as far as respect towards fellow human beings is concerned.

I am done with you. Replying to you is just giving you more chances to show your ignorance about human beings and life. I hope one day you find whatever is missing in your life I stead of pointing out what you think is wrong in other peoples' lifes.

By one_shot• 17 Sep 2010 23:38

On Tuesday, a 5- to 7-month-old fetus wrapped in a green plastic bag was found inside the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros, Manila, at about 5 p.m.

After one hour, devotees were shocked when another fetus was found at the doorstep of the Church of the Black Nazarene in Quiapo.

Authorities described the fetus as about 7 to 9 months old and was in a red shoe box when it was found by a churchgoer.

The following day, a 7-month-old fetus, wrapped in plastic and stuffed into a sack, was found in Catmon, Malabon City.

Sorry and i am not trying to move this to a religious topic, but what we have been told by the prophet.

.

.

"A woman entered Hell for mistreating a cat, she locked it , didn't feed it, and even she didn't let her eat from the what it can find out there."

.

and this is a cat not a human being.

these people have done a very great sin and they will be punished hardly if they didn't ask forgiveness from God,

even if they escaped in this life, but for how many years ?5 or 10 , 20 or even 50, the punishment will come after all.

But we hope that we can see earth justice for this case, to be an example for others not to do

By Alumnar• 17 Sep 2010 11:18
Alumnar

That would be a lot to hope for one shot... How can these people live with themselves and their conscience? How can they think a human being can be mistreated and abused that way?

in my city, last couple of months a Philippine maid died while she was trying to escape from the sponsor house.

the issue that the guy or the sponsor didn't bother himself to go down and check her or call the ambulance for her.

This case opened doors for a total public rage against this guy, a lot of calls where heard to punish him, even he received a lot of warning letters that the judgment day will come soon and God will take revenge.

i hope we can see this attitude in the Qatari community

and i quote from the prophet and excuse my bad translation:

.

.

"Who saw wrong then he must try to change it by his hand, and if he couldn't by his tongue, otherwise by his heart and this is the minimum level of faith.

and if he didn't he will be like "a mute devil"

If it is the sponsor that raped the girl, they should be made to pay for the child's up-keep for life (education, food, clothes, medical etc etc upto the age of 18yrs). Also the person that raped the girl should be sent to prison for a couple of years.

I am not for any nationality, I fail to see how people can be cruel to a fellow humanbeing.

The Phil. govt. should take this up with the qatar govt.

There are various other issues in mind. however, i may regret later.

for reshimba his comment wasn't on the mother but on the wife which is different issue, it is like he want to direct the topic to another direction not the mother , not the rapist, not the attitude of "the new fake muslims" that we are witnessing in this world.

.

let's concentrate on the family who hurt this woman

on the woman who hurt this baby.

on the laws allowed for this kind of slavery

Summerfolk - place yourself in the shoes of that mother and ask yourself how desperate, alone and frightened she was when she realized she was delivering a baby on a flight, being born due to RAPE. Desperation leads to extreme measures and irrational actions.

No one shot, this could not happen everywhere. ONLY in the Middle East. This poor 'slave' was used, abused and discarded. Any women with a decent upbringing and moral values - and in a country where male and female rights are equal! - would just kick the rapist husband out and hand him over to the police. AND justice would be served!

By summerfolk• 17 Sep 2010 10:34
